For as long as I have read about Iraq, Saddam Hussein has been the only name that I can associate with that country. With American invasion of Iraq and capturing of Saddam Hussein, people were left to wonder why was he not shot dead till now. America for once wanted to glamorise the justice process that it has instated in Iraq. I never really was bothered why America invaded Iraq, went about killing enough people, and calling the process as fight against terrorism. However I feel sad about the way execution of Saddam was carried out. In less than 60 days he was sent to the gallows, and hung a day before the New Year’s eve, it clearly showed how America made mockery of the judicial system in Iraq. As someone quite rightly said:
Today marks the end of an evil era, the end of an evil era and the beginning of an even worse one
R.I.P Saddam
