Noise for Mac

noiseI often feel a pain to work in public places, especially in Delhi, where people just don’t have a volume control planted in their voice boxes. It’s quite bugging to sit in Barista/Costa Coffee/Any Other coffee joint, paying for expensive WiFi service, and getting distracted while working because some dude wants to laugh/giggle/talk at 60dB. I always wondered if there can be a mp3 file that emits silence so as to dissolve the nagging background noise at public places. While looking for alternatives, I stumbled upon DSP generation of Pink (1/f) Noise project by Robin White, but there was no implementation in form of a software/track that I could use.

With the launch of Noise application by Blackhole Media, the problem seems to be solved. It will take time to get used to sound emitted by Noise, but at least it saves you from getting distracted from those boring/interesting gossips at the table behind you.
