Yahoo Bookmarks

Yahoo Bookmarks, currently in beta, is the new online bookmark management tool in the market. Although Yahoo acquired Del.icio.us sometime back, this seems to use the best of Yahoo interface and Del.icio.us api services. You can import bookmarks from their personal web browser and Del.icio.us with easy-to-use one click process.

The interface looks much better, is quite fast, and you can use either folders or tags to manage your bookmarks. The ‘recent’ and ‘popular’ tags in Del.icio.us interface have given way to ‘Recommended’ section. You can even change the way you want to look at links, with options available for list, detailed and grid view. Unlike Del.icio.us, each bookmark entry is accompanied by a thumbnail of the webpage it points to. Bookmarklets have been provided for those who would like to post their links directly to Yahoo Bookmarks and don’t have Yahoo toolbar installed. With quite a few new features, and an improved interface, Yahoo is sure going to pump some life into Del.icio.us. If you have a Yahoo id, go use Yahoo Bookmarks now.
